If the winner doesn’t supply a theme before Thursday 22:30 GMT, the organizer will select the theme. In this case, the winner’s theme will be used the next time we are lacking a theme on Thursday 22:30 GMT.
Having selected the theme, the winner will not be eligible to enter that week. They may however still submit an image, but it won’t be included in the voting.
(I created the figure in Blender for another project. The environment was created in Blender 4.3 for the challenge. I was not able to achieve the wispy look I wanted for the ghostly figure rising from the ground in Blender so I rendered the scene and figure separately and composited them in GIMP using Gaussian blur and opacity.)
A lot of AI slipping trough the cracks these days. I thought this challenges are a bit of fun, but I think using an AI PNG is unfair on the people who actually take time to model stuff
I try to keep an eye on the use of generative AI in these challenges. This time, however, I didn’t notice anything suspicious.
If I’ve missed something, just let me know and I’ll take a closer look.
And… the winner of Weekend Challenge 1127 with votes from 52.4% of the voters is… PMDesigns!
As we have a tie between entries (PMDesigns, codecontemplator), the earliest submitted entry wins.
Of course! She was always there, lurking in the shadows. If you play with brightness and contrast, you can still find her in the final render. (The kids insisted on adding a monkey, so we did. )
