“There are two main goals for these contests: Fun and Glory.
Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.
Glory: After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared. The winner picks the theme for next week and will be featured in the Feature Row.”
Yeah, I actually wanted to do something with geometry nodes, but now I’m extremely undecided about what it should be. By the way, it’s also difficult for AI to create an image on this topic that doesn’t involve people🤣 and still stays on theme
Here’s my entry - a little rough and a little simplistic, but then - it was hard to come up with an idea that would’t be very complex.
The Date Arrives…
Pure, EEVEE (this time… I bet Cycles would take a lot longer… If I had more time, I’d be more organized about animation, especially the walk cycle, instead of winging it keyframe by keyframe.)
The rules say it should be ‘new’ models which is what I didn’t really understand, but I guess that means they should be made from scratch and recycled or downloaded are not considered pure entries, right?
The challenge is: What can you do in four days? So if I make everything from scratch, I submit a pure entry. If I use old models, I submit an open entry. So yes, downloaded and reused would not be considered pure. This forum challenge uses an honor system. People sometimes submit pure entries that suspiciously resemble open ones, they are accepted as is.
The definition from the rules “A Pure entry is made mostly using Blender, and mostly using new models.” I note the word mostly. If in doubt write some notes on how it was made i would suggest.
