Challenge #115 Entries (03/09/04) CLOSED

Theme #115 for 3 september 2004 is: Take a famous ancient painting and make it your own

Choose a painting you like from prehistoric age to say early 20th century and show us what you can do with it. Reproduce it the same, carcaturize it, do anything. If you don’t know anything about art history, use google, or this site or maybe ask me (IgorSandman: I studied art history during two years at uni). It would be clever to provide a link to the painting you chose for those who don’t know it.

Entries closes at 2100 GMT -5 Monday, 6 september 2004.

:o These topics get whackier and whackier: Paintholder

huh?.. this is going to be interesting…

Reproducing artwork isn’t neccesarily one thing I was interested in. I’ll pass on this WC.

i like art, but usually cant convert it into blender.

This weekend will be pretty busy, but I might have a chance to give this one a try.

The first time I’m allowed to steal a painting ;).

Is it Igors meaning to recreate a painting?
I guess I’ll go for “the scream”.

did it once, can do it twice.

I just swallowed my paint brush, but if you open the Blender and turn it on, it makes wonderful tie-dye on the ceiling.

BTW awesome topic :stuck_out_tongue:

I think recreating 3dcg would be more fun lol, maybe placeholder.

I have an idea although it’s far too simple to win, but i’d like to keep my streak of zero votes up so here’s another maybe placeholder.

I don’t want to reproduce somebody else’s work, so… I’ll see what I can come up with without ripping off another artist… Here’s to interpretation.

edit
I’m out, way to much on my plate right now
