I wasn’t there… (Actually, I was born just a few weeks later. ;-))
But I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what happened!

Keeper of the Flame

Open

The monk and the window texture was generated. Floor stone texture is a mixture of two textures from blenderkit. The sandstone texture also comes from blenderkit (slightly modifierd).

Everything else is new including the spherical relic that was generated within blender using the physics engine.

Gold Ornament of the Noble Monkeys

Non-competing. Used an HDRI from polyhaven, the rest was made in Blender.

This is inspired on a small ornament I once saw in a museum.

Reference image

I believe the ornament is from China, but I am not sure. What called my attention the most is that the “people” depicted in the ornament look like monkeys! Surely, humans do not have such long arms or large ears!

Also, it may look like they have long necks, but what if… that’s actually Suzanne?!

Oldest Suzanne reference in history?

But I will leave to historians to solve this mystery.

Pure: Commodore VIC 20

Everything is Pure. Image texture for logo comes from a photograph I took of my Commodore VIC‑20 - a machine I bought as a hobby in early 1981 for $364, which I still own today.

I cannot find anything in the rules that specifies that it must be 3d. Maybe that is implicit but, at least for me, a pure grease pencil entry would be fine as well.

Hi evryone ! This is my first participation to this challenge. It is pure (only textures were downloaded but modified in Blender). For the chalice, i took a mandala as a height map. I called it “the chalice”

Thank you for offering this kind of challenge!

As long as they were created using Blender a lot of things can be valid entries. 2d certainly is! And thinking about this, I guess a poem would be totally fine as long as it was written using Blender’s text editor.

Nice entry, welcome on board!
