Theme #116 for 10 september 2004 is: Your Favorite Movie Scene

Entrants should take their favorite moment from the cinema and make it their own.

Entries closes at 2100 GMT -5 Monday, 13 september 2004.

This is a tricky one also.

The ominous Alien spacecraft looms on the horizon. Ignorant of the horror that awaits them, the Nostromo’s crew advance on the source of what appears to be a distress call…

“I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do…”
I was afraid to model Dave, though. If you don’t know, this is from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Thumby thumby thumb:

hmm. ill see.

(i think its time to get the bot out of his storage place (yep, i think ill build a scene from the animatrix (if i can bare the struggle with armatures (you realy cant tell ive got maths with x and y dont you  )))).

Cool! I’m glad people are psyched about the topic. Should be fun to see the results.

BTW, on the subject of movies, we’re hashing out ideas for a tentatively named “Fortnight Challenge”, a biweekly animation contest similar to the WC. If you’re interested and have ideas for something like this, check the thread here:

Good luck to all!

"Yeah. The funny thing is - on the outside, I was an honest man, straight as an arrow. I had to come to prison to be a crook. "

But my favorite movie scene is from an adult film… j/k

great topic

If I get the time… (I hope I will)

Here’s my entry:

This is a scene representing the original movie version of The Manchurian Candidate from 1962.

“Why don’t you pass the time playing a little Solitare?”

Daaaaaisy, Daaaaaaaaaiisy …

Bigger version:

Umm. i’m not sure if i understood right do we need to have some sort of a twist or something or do we just do a scene

It does say make it your own in the first post.
Just add your lil details or maybe a spoof version of the scene.

Either is fine, I’d say. I just wanted to give people who were interested in doing something other than a straight movie scene the option to take a scene and run with it. Obviously, anything that gets created here will involve some level of interpretation anyway, so it’s no big deal.

Ok thanks for your help
i’ll see if i can think of a way to make a twist but if not…
