If the winner doesn’t supply a theme before Thursday 22:30 GMT, the organizer will select the theme. In this case, the winner’s theme will be used the next time we are lacking a theme on Thursday 22:30 GMT.
Having selected the theme, the winner will not be eligible to enter that week. They may however still submit an image, but it won’t be included in the voting.
Years ago, when we switched from single-vote to multi-vote polls, we decided to base the number of votes per person on the number of entries. I couldn’t remember the exact numbers, so I checked my voting thread generator script:

I looked up the contest thread to #495 last night and I remember the Jack Daniels bottle. I was looking for that file about a year ago when I got into my old computer I used back then, but couldn’t find it.
I did do a non-competing entry from #496, but see that my post is missing. It was 3 egg-shaped robots, with tentacle legs and a single laser beam eye, descending into a lo-poly city setting. Grayscale image except for the red glowing eye on the robots. That’s why I choose the topic, because I wanted to create this idea I had in my head.
Just goes to show you I should probably do something with my life other than hang out in the weekend challenges…
