I tink I’ll take place in this one as well. I have a lot of new features of blender to check this weekend anyway, so why not put them to a real test? I’m going to make a retro sixties room, but very modern! Time for some interior designing!
It’s done! I really like the result. It took ages to render because almost everything is reflective. It’s a Blender render with some touches in Photoshop. Like some levels/sharpening/glow and the two people.
I used the edge and face selection modes a lot and really like them. Although my laptop has crashed a lot this weekend.

a house made of sand?..how?
It´s not actually sand, but some grainer mud. First, you have to put some “underpinnings” for the structure. It can be made of wood stringed together or bamboo. Mix the sand with water and put it on the structure. The sun will do the drying.

Oh, forgot to say: The modeling and texture for my entry are 100% pure, but I had to scale down the image and up the contrast level to make it more visible, but that’s all I did with GIMP.
