“There are two main goals for these contests: Fun and Glory.
Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.
Glory: After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared. The winner picks the theme for next week and will be featured in the Feature Row.”
This little puppet ( with procedurally generated hair and eyebrows ), picked up an interesting looking stick she found on the ground. Suddenly it starts glowing in her puppet hand. Could this be a magic wand?
And I ran into a problem: How do you see a Volume Scatter that’s placed behind or below an object with a glass shader?
I couldn’t find the answer, so I used the Compositor to add the purple halo ^^’
*The fonts I’m using are Amiri Quran Regular (brass plate), Bebas Neue Regular (remote), and Segoe Fluent Icons (remote).
In Render Properties (Cycles) switch from GPU to CPU. Then enable the Path Guiding Checkbox, Set “Filter Glossy” to 0. Additionally “indirect Light” to 20-25.
Pure. Everything made in Blender, only procedural textures.
A couple of months ago, I thought about making some magic wands for an old game called Morrowind, but I always left the project for later. When I saw the topic of the weekend challenge, I realized I would upset the Daedra if I skipped this week.
The grip is made of ebony (which is a metal in the Elder Scroll series, not a type of wood) and the tip of adamantium, with details in gold.
Unfortunately, I had an accident on Sunday morning while hiking and ended up in the hospital for two days after hitting my head on a rock. Sadly, that also meant the end of my unfinished rendering.
I liked the theme and would have loved to contribute. Thematically, it was somewhat reminiscent of “Ollivanders Storeroom”
Once I’ve recovered, I’ll finish it and post it here
