Seems like I was the first one to finish this too
Pure
Well, I started by molding the body first with metaballs, then converted it to mesh, duplicated it two times, added static particle system to two of the models to get the fur… Added trees and stuff…
All textures are Blender procedurals, and I tweaked it only a little bit with PS to remove some hairs out of his eyes.
It took about 3 hours to make this
I hope…If I’m up to it
Place Holder…I hope I can get my model out in time (Hoping for more than just my vote this time)
Now, to get off my butt and create something…
Actually, count me out of this one. I had plenty of great ideas; I just need a little bit more practise modelling them (about 6 months worth…).
Sigh.

1:00 am, I hear a noise in the other room. I investigate with my flashlight. Guess what I find? The Cheese Wiz in the shoe mystery is solved.
Pure All models new.
Roaches are made from UV spheres and subsurf legs with homemade textures. Other stuff uses basic geometry and free texture from the internet except the Cheeze wiz label (homemade with Gimp).

Forgive my stupines(I’m from sweden) but what do you mean when you say ‘‘placeholder’’??

Pure. Metaballs with a lattice to make the cat flat. Total time from opening blender to making this post: 30 min (can’t ya tell?). I call it SPLAT.

Hmm… theeth beat me to it. Not surprising since I’ve spent about 45 minutes writing this (distracted ). Oh well, here it is anyway…
A “placeholder” is used to say"I’m going to enter, but my entry isn’t ready yet". This serves two purposes. First, it secures your place in the list of entries in when voting takes place - the entries are listed in the same order as the entry messages (except “pure” entries will always be listed before “open” entries). Second, it lets me know how many people are planning to enter - this is important because occassionally the forum hasn’t had enough poll options to list all entries.
In short: “placeholder” = “watch this space, entry coming soon”
