“There are two main goals for these contests: Fun and Glory.
Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.
Glory: After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared. The winner picks the theme for next week and will be featured in the Feature Row.”
I hope this isn’t too far from the theme, but here it is “The Museum of Historic Bugs”.
Inside the museum, visitors can discover Blue Screen, Chunk Error, Corrupted Mesh, Missing Texture, MissingNo., No Signal, Matrix Code, Glitch Map, T-Pose and more.
I never really did bugs until now, so thanks for that opportunity @Jean-Luc ^^!
Used a tutorial series i bought a wile ago about mechanical bugs for doing the bug carapace and then added the legs and belly parts from reference. Here are some screenshots from other angles as well ^^
I did some bug research and ended up building a sketchbook with a lot of grease pencil, a three-dimensional touch, and some pig latin.
pure, Blender 5.1.0. Eevee
Pure entry. Everything made in Blender, mix of hand-painted and procedural textures.
Story: Ms. Samsa was shocked when the doctor held her baby in front of her and said “It’s a bug!”. While father and brother were disgusted by this new family member, the mother took care of her as best as she could, and named the baby Mary as if it were a normal girl. With time, Mary got closer and closer to the family, even joining them at the table for meals. One day, Mary turned into a human being. But deep-inside, she will always be their little lady bug.
