Pure

For the black hole I roughly followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92MBsTMbXxM
The background is procedural and made from scratch by me.

I really wanted that Loony Toons look, so lots of procedural textures + painted sign

The Consumer Trap

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a product art perspective for this theme. A high-end luxury product is often designed as the ultimate consumer trap—metaphorically engineered to completely lock in your attention and trigger an irresistible urge to buy. The sharp, tight background geometry creates an enclosed space, while the dark fluid explosion represents the intense sensory pull of the fragrance.

**Note:** Just to be completely transparent, this is an older project of mine where I modeled, textured, and simulated everything completely from scratch myself. Since it wasn't made during the weekend window, I am posting this to maintain my consistency of sharing projects regularly. Hope you would like it!

The Angler and the Puffer

Blender 5.2 cycles, pure entry. They didn’t schedule me, makes sense since the supervisor that asked me to add Sunday to my schedule will be leaving soon.

Or the Sheen BSDF shader node. For me, this and its predecessors have proven to be very useful for things like this quite a few times.

Pure, Eevee Next, Blender 5.1

Summary

Inspired rather directly by Nhim_Art’s “Fell For It” comic. I tried recreating the line shadows, but didn’t like how it looked in motion.

Mouzappa 3000

Pure, Eevee, blender 3.6. More of an experiment with NPR shading and Lineart than a serious entry.

My first idea was actually something like @Jean-Luc entry. Of course, that’s coming from someone with a Road Runner tattooed on my right shoulder…

My second idea was close to @Frau_Kwatsch created, but adding a ball and chain to the ring…

Enjoying the ideas so far!

I’m new.
Does it have to be in Blender?

Welcome on board!
Open entries don’t have to be done in Blender. Just state which software was used for which parts of the entry, and you are good to go.

Sounds great! I was looking for a reason to practice VR painting / 3D modeling. Hope that counts. Not looking to win, just to have fun!
