Edit: This is a pure entry. I made some minor adjustments to the lighting. I forgot to account for daylight savings time in when the contest would end I think.

Just a quick and simple approach and an opportunity to experiment with array modifiers 
There are three modifiers here (X, Y, Z) to create a 10x10x10 matrix. Only one person/cubicle was modeled.
