RobertT and Jeeps definitely take the cake. Those two created possibly the most beautiful/visually appealing renders in the WC’s history, or at least in the recent past.
It was a tough choice but in the end I chose ben’s toaster. I liked my mousetrap but the everyday nature of the toaster and its setting is a good idea and well-executed — I can’t tell if it is being hung for blasphemy or praised for its warm nature.
Very good entries and tough competition this week.
ForTe’s just sucked me in, I’ve had dreams where I almost didn’t make it to the toilet or I’m naked in front of people, I wouldn’t want to end up both out in that field going in a toilet in the middle of a field bolted to a rock.
Jeepster’s look so photoreal, it even looks he could’ve done it by taking pictures and putting them together.
Jeepster: I do like the lighting, as one of these guys pointed out. You mentioned you photoshopped some of the lava effect… what about the background? Is that a photo of mountains, steam, and fog… or did you crank that out in blender?
