The idea came from the movie Zardoz staring Shaun Connery. It is a Sci-fi movie with these great floating heads. I thought what if Suzanne was a floating head thus Suzanne as the great floating head in Zardoz.

ok this is only my second attempt at entering one of these, last time i got no votes, but hey show no mercy. if it stinks… tell me… i did this in an animation, but didnt have time to make it a good background. so here is my still.
ps… the only reason this really stinks is cuz i didnt get home till 10 on sunday night and remember this until about 1015. well that and im still just a newbie…lol

Hmm, it’s hard to vote, but I think technically the best is from enos. He will surely win.

One question to WeirdHat: how the hell did you make this bullet trails? :o

Hehehe…its only because I’m a fast typist and I can usually think of something useful to say in response to almost anything. At least I try to. I read things and I have to give input…thats just the way I am. Plus I hate those little icons that say I haven’t read a new post yet. lol. I was going to vote for myself but that seemed unethical and I really like Enos’s work from the start. In fact thats what inspired me to even enter the challenge at all.

Firp! How did THIS happen??? I didnt think id have a chance at winning this. I figured folks with good organics skills would take it.

Personally i usualy always vote for whoever makes me laugh the hardest, and weirdhat got that easily. I sat there looking at the thumbnail (hey im on 56k, viewing full takes a while) thinking “what is it??” then suddenly it hit me.

I meant to enter another idea as noncompetitve, since i had 2 good ideas. My other was a suzanne in a pod-tank-thing from the matrix with all the tubes in her.

I guess i should start thinking of topic?

Because yours has a really, really nice atmosphere. Granted, I voted for Enos myself, but I certainly liked yours a good deal.

I would think the large number of entries is due to the fact that we had a base mesh to start with. Modelling was therefore that much easier.

Enos, you should expand that scene and perhaps animate it with some cool mechanical sound effects, and then at the end of the conveyor belt there could just be a big pile of broken Suzannes. lol. 8)
