lol, this seems sorta hard, but fun.
I’ll definitely put an entry in this week, just gotta see how much time i get.
i will try
Here’s my entry, the “Blendimension PC.” Swapped out the CD and floppy drives to install toaster bays, and the DVD drive up top is now a cup holder/cup heating pad. The case also accommodates a 12 cup coffee maker that can be adjusted or paused directly through special software on the PC which also can control toasting level. Powered by a next generation Blender OS this custom PC can make more than just coffee or toast…

This was designed and rendered completely in Blender. Information on the flat panel screen is not a texture, it’s using the internal Blender font, planes for simulated windows, and wireframed clones of the shaded toast and coffee pot models.

Nice model Robertt.
Placeholder, looks like I got my work cut out for me!!
Edit Well I guess I will retire. Ran out of time for the weekend. Went camping with the wife and kids. So good luck everyone
EDITWell somehow I managed to get this.
Its my solution to haveing to waste valuable blender time by getting up away from the computer to eat. Now you don’t have to stop blending, with the monitor built in to the microwave screen.
See later post.

Heheheh reminds me of the old IBM mice with the individual mouse buttons that stuck up like an inch.
But i cant help wondering, where is the coffee?
Robertt has saved me a lot of time this weekend, now that he’s built the ultimate computer/breakfast maker. I now have time to devote to doing my illustration homework, since I cannot compete with his creation.
Great blend! I love the smooth edges on all of the parts. What’s your technique for the mouse and keyboard builds?
Idgas, thanks!
Good question, Enos When I moved my model around apparently the coffee mesh didn’t get moved and was out of frame for the first render. It’s now where it should be (in the coffee pot!) but there’s not much there because it’s just starting to come down. I think I’ll go have some coffee now!
I didn’t have the subsurf numbers evened up on the mouse between the view/render values. Still looks a bit boxy, but what the heck It’s a Blendimension, blending cutting edge technology with a retro pre-ergonomic mouse…
Thanks for the feedback. Can’t wait to see the other entries!
Robert
Hi, Pam, and thanks! Mostly everything started out as cubes except for the cup, coffee pot/filter, computer/monitor buttons. With a basic cube in edit mode I selected all vertices (A key) then pressed W and clicked on Subdivide a few times. I set the materials to smooth and clicked the Subsurf button with a Subdiv value of around 2 or 3.
The mouse could have been done a lot better though I think, maybe made into an optical one with a little red glow under it.
Oh well maybe next time
Good luck with your homework!
Robert
there’s still a couple of days left. Why not design the mouse how you want it.
My entry goes well, i have modelled basically my case and the front. Now i just gotta “custom modify” it. I did a little research for some ideas too.
Placeholder… this should be cool…

Cubefan! I’m impressed! But whats with all the blood and gore?
Nice one Thor!
And good one Robertt! Just need to make sure the keyboard is coffee proof!
Hey thor, i bet thatll take care of those counterstrike campers.
Here is my entry:-

This is a Blender only 3D graphics workstation, running Blender God Release 9.5. Following the release of Blender as an open source program, the elYsiun community released the God version of Blender on the 22nd October 2741.
Instructions:-
You sit in the chair in the middle of the room, place the temporal helmet on your head and Blend using mind control.
The main memory banks are triple 512 terabytes liquid cooled SDDFQRAM units housed beneath the displays with, four 50GHZ BlenderInside cpu’s working as a quad unit. Liquid graphics are produced by three Dreamrenderer poly modelers that can process more than a googleplex of triangles per second in an opengl enviroment. These output three 3125x1024 images to the triple 50" plasma screens, to display your current project.
Render times are measured in miliseconds, example time for 5000 frame, HDTV animation @ 3125x1024, is 30 seconds.

This is my first weekend challenge. I decided to make one this afternoon because if I always say I’ll do the next one, I’ll never do one.
Here it is.
When blender crashes or you do somehing terribly wrong that you can’t undo, you can let off some steam with Punching Bag PC.
