hey three-dee, I’m not sure what the message is you’re trying to give out, but the silohetes are groovy. Some of their feet are mangled or too smooth… I guess it would help if you understood what the picture was about though…
if it weren’t for the long tails I might be inclined to say pigs myself…
Tara I like your HORSEYS’! NEY NEY NEY RARR!!! NEY!
They look like brown horses with Delux splashings of white… still, nice models… pretty cool fog blue colours… the ground could of been bumped… I’d work on that next…
ray, you’ve got a good grasp of the materials needed for the stage coach, I’m pretty impressed by how well it’s turned out… some of the creases are impressive! I’d work on the middle bones … the arches in the middle bal;h balh… very light, very breasy… it’s very reflective aswell… it’s good as it is.
I’m also taking the time to notice the effort going into the metal fixtures on your coach aswell… they are kewl… takes time but you can easily skip over these things if you don’t look at modeling seriously…
hey tordat… the foreground is great, but how does it relate to wild west? hmm…
the background buildings… it seems a little muddled maybe… is that a cot on those stands? it’s alittle hard to make out what the scene is about… maybe you could post some more WIPs if you fancy carrying it over to your SPARE TIME
desoto offers a nice scene, but I think the buildings could be brushed up. I like the grey steel roofing material… the whislter and the water tower covers… seems pretty real, but things like the poles and connections between window frames etc could be tweaked abit… maybe OSA wasn’t turned on? that could help… seems very sharp is all… the wood texture on the closet building could be scaled down also maybe… or model the big planks of wood separately so we can get the cracks on the middle a chance to shine…
HELLO JOE :o
From my quick glance afew days ago I would of voted for you over the rest… well, robertt was competing with you
Shading/rendering used is very original for the contest… the man standing on the hill totally suits the scene and colours go well with the scene… how did you get this effect in Blender? can you sum it up in 5 words?
Fair play Robert, the flowers and the clouds catch my heart… the main chars do have very shiney features… some lighting could of been looked over to match them with the softer effects of the scene… but you’ve done a nice job with getting your own toy story %|
skelly… hmmm… a compass… ok
the model seems fine itself… I’m not too sure about the grainy effect you’ve given the whole render though… if you kept it to say the floor… or maybe just the metal texture, that way they would stick out separatly… but it seems too fused together… the only other advice I could offer is to smarten the details of the DEVICE up… think about all the small details expensive pocket watches have on them… think about the small cogs and holes… the pins and wheels… get that fagile feel … the old expensve… precious… worthwhile feel to this piece… or err… have a poo? :-?
Wu… I’m glad you’ve given the oppertunity for fruits to fight back… scarey though…
yes it’s very hard to ignore the texture problems you see on the strawberries, but I’ll let you learn Blender more as I’m sur eyou’ll get to grips with UV wrapping or whatnot sooner or later… you can get those strawbs looking mighty juicy if you wanted to!
Bud’s facial features and the expression he’s giving is cool… you’ve worked on giving him character and shows what he’s feeling… so I like that aspect of your scene… you’ve done well on the character… things like the arms and trouser textures… also that starnge line that seems to pop out across Bud’s face… if you can have another go at it and fix these faults you’d be much more proud of your work!
sorry Mac… can’t see your image… maybe I left it too late?
… ray, tordat joe robert or Wu…
gaak.
I don’t like that black ‘blob’ building… or whatever it is on the right side of your scene Joe… detracts my attention from the pretty scene…
ray, I would of liked to see a fuller picture of the coach… maybe added the bottom on the wheel in and such…
Tordat I’m going for you!! I really do like the feel of your scene… really, please explain what’s happening?!
