Here it is: Basically it works like this - The lever is pushed forward, trnung the cogs which turn the chains. These rotate the other cogs and flip the cam. This provides a turning motion for the generator, which emits a powerful laser beam and activates a circuit with a motor twisting a screw. This pushes the bar away from the mallet bit and it falls down! A lot of useless trash.

I hated everyones entry this week, just kidding just thought I would start off with something a little different.
Here are my favorites, although everyone did great.
#3 Jogi- I know you cant win this week, but if you could you might have gotten two in a row. Very cool device
#2 Robertt-Im a big fan of your work, and this week I’m reminded why. Great story and model, very life like.
#1 Backiz- I voted for Backiz this week. I just thought that the model had so much style and mood to it. It also reminded me of a room I saw in a Super Nintendo Role Playing Game not sure what game though maybe “Secret of Mana”(and of course since my whole life was rpg games I had to vote for this.)

Cool theme, too bad I couldn’t participate due to time. Glad to see all the cool work that showed up.
Also Vosa I think its bonk not bong, thats a whole different contest.

That was my first ever challenge entry, so forgive me if it seems a bit simple and rushed :expressionless: . I had time shortages too.

hopefully I’ll have more time nextime.

btw, all of those other entries are very well thought of, good work.

I voted Backiz… a nice idea if it wont kill you (mercury vapores are super deadly) it’ll probably just sit there… I doubt if it could make much energy, hey but who cares! great render!

I like that steampunk mood.

My vote goes to Robertt. I like the mood and the tones of the scenary and models, which gives a nice atmosphere to scene.

Difficult is the right word.

The modeling was just great to do, I really enjoyed it.
But you did too, (looking at the entries).
Oke robertt you did a lot of modelwork and it looks nice.
I like macouno’s eggshaker too and chaosnil has a nice feeling (no spots?? I can’t see good shadows…)
I think the eggshaker is closer to the theme. blablabla…To make long stories short: #1 Robbert.

(yeah you may win, cause you have (should be “had” ) just 1 vote less, but that makes it just more fun :D)

Modron- While I like the machine itself, I was turned off by the lack of scenario.

thor- Good concept, GREAT chains, but I don’t know…

skeletor- Toon shaded (10 extra points in my book!), and one of the first motion blurs I’ve seen since I came to these boards. Shame that there isn’t more stuff in the scene…

Smoky Joe- Pure perfection! You have created something beyond the beauty of mortals! :wink:

Robertt- The chair is sweet. You know it and I know it. That is why it got my vote.

BackiZ- While it’s really inspired, and somewhat nostalgic, I just can’t dig it properly…

Desoto- Being you, I expected to see the machine working. It deserved to be seen working. It’s still a nice job, just not Desoto-worthy.

arangel- Sorry, but I just couldn’t really feel soul in this one.

chaosnil- I was this close to voting for you. Definitely my second favorite, just for the originality of it.

dunkfordyce- For some reason, I can’t see it.

macouno- Another of my favs, I absolutely love it!

@ner- Toon shaded, but it’s impurity saddens me.

Wiggie- Are you sure this is your first contest entry? Excellent job! You might prove to be a strong competitor in the coming weeks.

vosa- Great concept, but I couldn’t dig it. Maybe an action pic…

I have just some kind of database with loads of textures found on the internet, games and yes some blendergames too. (It’s just a sign that it is a good texture :D). But are you in general allowed to use a texture found in a game?
