Here is my cootie. The slimy surface is supposed to be a magnified tongue, and if the cootie were not in the way, you would see that behind it is a uvula.

Here is my cooties research results. I had to kiss 36 girls to get one good sample of cooties. Then I fired on my electronic microscope and got image of cooties in action injecting love feromones to my skin… uh, I feel strange… (passing out…)

great topic this week, however I could not compete again due to time(spent the weekend trying to learn armature, and rvk set up). However this would have been right up my alley.
All great entries, but these are the three I liked best.
#3 sonix- I like the abstractness of the work, and the long claw design is great.
#2 fobos- Great character modeling, very life like.
#1 modron- I voted for modron, the first time I saw this in the “works in progress” section I loved it. Very fragile and dainty and pretty, exactly what a cute girl’s germs should look like. And the droplets of water are also a great effect.

So topic 100 is coming up soon, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in putting money in towards a prize. Like if we all put in $10 and then made a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize available. Just a suggestion. But would have to work out things like currency differences, were to keep the money (someones paypal account)? I would put up some money, anyone else??

My vote goes to modron because he had a clever concept, good modeling, an environment, pretty nice texturing…and it was very “cootie-like” in my mind. The runner up for my vote was Sonix.

I think that all blender versions have a negative light “button”, like I wrote in WIP forum, 4 directional lights make “side lights”, one negative light enhances areas that are facing camera and one spot makes shadow under main object. All lights but spot is attached to the camera. Simple as that
