Nice choice of topic! I might enter this one… I’m not promising anything, though.

Yeah I think that I will join, then this is my first official Weekend Challenge. I’ve got a really cool picture in my mind. I never saw dune, or played the game, but I try it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s my pure entry, created and rendered in Blender 2.30:

Hope you like it. Good luck to all the other participants.

Well, my participation the week went no further than a sketch of a worm…

Man, i wish i´d read it now! can´t compete if i don´t know what it is about…

Scorpy here are some things you could do…

  1. an ornithopter: a high tech flying machine that flies by flapping its wings
  2. a sandworm: a gargantuan worm, that inhabits the desert sands
  3. Harkonen fleet orbiting Dune ( a planet that is entirely desert )
  4. Bene Geserit: Highly disciplined black robed preistesses of Dune.
  5. Fremen: The native inhabitants of Dune. Eyes are solid blue from ingesting ‘the spice’. They live in the open desert, and wear ‘still suits’, which are suits designed to recycle bodily moisture, and prevent dehydration. The fremen can call, and ride these worms using gaf like hooks.
I know it’s not much to go on, but I hope it helps.

Sure ill give it a try…if i have time lol

i should be getting my new computer tomorrow so maybe i can blend it on my new box
