“There are two main goals for these contests: Fun and Glory.
Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.
Glory: After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared. The winner picks the theme for next week.”
Please remember to state if your entry is pure, open or non-competing.
For details please check out the: CHALLENGE RULES
Btw.: Comments are welcome in both threads (entries/voting). Have fun!
So this is a WIP of my entry for this week
It has no name and I have no idea what it is yet
Its´s pure so far and only 2 meshes in the scene, enjoying procedural modelling!
Not 100% sure what I’ll do with it, play with materials and lighting I guess…
What you all think?
Other notes:
This image was rendered in blender internal (node shader). Interestingly, this isn’t the image I wanted to make. It’s a flipped negative sign in a fresnel effect in the atmosphere of the planet, but I liked the result and rendered it out. I finished up my original idea for the image, but upon review I preferred this one. So this is what it is.
I’m really going to miss playing with the non-physically-correct-artistic-stuff when the 2.8 is released and BI goes away.
If you do it manually it sure is. But when using the add-on CubeSter its only a few mouse clicks away. Render it with the AO pass enabled and ur already halfway there.
