Here’s my image, it is a Pure one. Everything was made in Blender with the ManuelBastioniLab-add-on.
I call it “Surprise Kiss”. I don’t have my own website seeing as I do this as a hobby. But I thought I’d post
any way.

Render with Cycles
128 samples and denoise.

Hi,

here is my first entry for a weekend challenge on BA.
It’s a 3d-interpretation of a painting done by Pablo Picasso (Le baiser, 1929).
It’s pure blender with only procedural textures, just used Gimp to convert it in to jpg.

I know the rules are very unclear with respect to add-ons, but most will agree that, if you use ManuelBastioniLab or something similar to generate a complex mesh, then you’ll probably want to call your entry open.

On a side note, adding your own image to your own image was quite funny :slight_smile:

@derosaron1: Of course, I don’t know for sure, how big a role ManuelBastioniLab played in the making of this entry. But, if you don’t mind and for the sake of fairness, I’ll add it to the ‘open’ category.
If I’m mistaken, just let me know. Changing the category is one of the few things I can still do after the voting has been started. :slight_smile:

Wow 2 million :O. I think my laptop would literally explode lol. I am still really new to Blender so you lost me at baking, but good luck sorting out the rigging issues :D!

I have issues, as most people know, with the Manuel Bastioni entries that are labeled pure. I might vote for such and entry though, if it has other elements that make up for the use of premade models. Even a pure entry that I deem as open may get a vote from me, if it stands up as an open entry.

LOL, ya that’s how my old computer was I could only get 80,000 verts which gave me the inability to hardly do anything it was all low poly stuff until I got this computer I can get up to 8,000,000-10,000,000 verts now before my computer starts lagging cycles cant render it but eevee can
the only time I go that high in verts is when im sculpting characters :smile:

I’m saving up for a better computer :D. I also want to get into making games so I am probably going to need a much better laptop than I have at present. It’s good for school, but for rendering and other high processing stuff, not so much. I haven’t tried sculpting characters yet, but i’m excited to. I saw someone sculpt a dragon and it looked really cool!

ya, sculpting is a lot better but takes up a lot of time I made a few base meshes to start from just basic figure shapes.
when you start learning about baking high poly to low poly it will help with the rigging and game characters because, their is not so many verts to work on.

but basic character modeling is where you want to start you don’t want to skip the basics :smile:
