Yay, I can now continue Sarr’s adventures! I already have a story, I just need to figure out to how capture it in a picture that I can make in a short time.
Open entry ant was from the Mountains WC ( I had already rigged it so it was easier to pose.) Done in Cycles custom blender 2.8 build I am beta testing for a guy.
Render time for this on regular 2.8 at 500 samples on a laptop with an i7 with 16 gigs of ram and a 2gig nvidia mobile gpu was close to 1 hour. In the beta testing version the render you see in my entry took a mere 1 minute and 39 seconds. I am sure on my desktop pc it would have taken merely seconds.
@sivag No requirement to join, just get your entry in before the close of the entry period. It is that simple. You are already a member of the site and that is about the only requirement to become a participant. Just once you submit your entry specify if it is an “Open” or “Pure” entry. The thread header to this challenge has links in it to find out more details about the Weekend Challenges.
Here is where I got this to. Brave the Storm. The only thing done outside of blender was the small splash in front of the boat. A simple paint and smudge. Rendered in Eevee.
Going down the cute route rather than a serious one because at the same time have to finish yet another cute character/scene. That, and maybe trying to fiddle around with EEVEE if time permits.
All get wrong with the fluids, preview always fine, but baking in higher resolution and it flows in the bottle and through the beach. Didnt figure out why, wasted two nights of baking. So i get the most usable wave from the first frames and emptied the bottle.
The poor bird is a simple solidfied shape, subdivided and threaten with a lot of proportional edit and a hair shader for the wings.
