how did you make the white spots on the mushroom hat?

I did not succeed for mine.

I want to understand it, too!!

Did you try using a particle system? That is what I would try as it is fast and keeps things easily editable.

Well, I did not think about it, but it may be a good solution, thx ^^

Yes, thats a particle system. As well as those dark spots on the stem

gonna be a tough call this week!
such outstanding work!

Steak and Mushrooms. Pure, made in cycles. I tweaked the steak texture forever and it still doesn’t look like I was hoping, but I started to get cross-eyed, so I gave up. :slight_smile:
I love all the entries so far!

Great theme - Cycles - 4000 samples - Pure

Still had a lot of noise even with 4000 samples so had to touch up and adjust exposure in GIMP. Might try another volumetric image next time to try and learn how to avoid noisy renders.

Ghost Mushroom

Open entry, bark texture from TextureHaven, everything else are procedurals.

Cycles 256 samples + denoising, level correction with GIMP.

Non-competing

Cycles, 3000 samples, hdri lighting, cloth physics, particles systems, Graswald ($) for leaf debris and grass. Post processing with Paintshop Pro for brightening and contrast enhancements.

A quick little sculpting exercise.
