Fun: You get only 4 days to create a cool image, based on the theme for the week.
Glory: After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared. The winner picks the theme for next week.”
Please remember to state if your entry is pure, open or non-competing.
For details please check out the: CHALLENGE RULES
Btw.: Comments are welcome in both threads (entries/voting). Have fun!
You are right, this one has been there before. But, looking at the calender it seems quite fitting and as the last time has been ~1.5 years ago it might be worth another visit.
@FlyingBanana and @Millani you’re right about the theme, my bad. Didn’t know about challenge 777, and “The end is nigh” would’ve been an awesome theme.
Yeah, no worries @beau11 I was just wondering for my own sanity. I’m now over the hill so it’s just a matter of time before electronics start eluding me.
Sounds like a great idea to me. Maybe a simple procedural bump texture (e.g. musgrave) would already be enough.
If you find the time, you could try to make the plant stand out a little more. Currently the light area behind it hides the plant because the shape is quite similar:
A light green plant in front of dark shadows would be a lot more visible. You could also try to add a little more contrast.
Hello,
This is my PURE entry “ark”
Cycles 512s. Unfortunatelly I was forced to render clouds with 128s and add them in Gimp later due to render times. Otherwise they would look better like here: Hills - Blender 2.81 Cycles - #5 by 3dnotguru. The glow around the sun was added in Gimp too. Everything else is blendered.
