So, actually, that’s not my entry, it got held up for review for some reason.
(I initially thought it might be a little NSFW, so i re-edited it into a more suitable version, but that got flagged too)
it was not reviewed until now tho, but I posted it before the end of the entry stage
this is the original concept:
and that was my entry:
“that song”
not sure what exactly flagged it, but whatever.
it was based on what hearing that song felt to me:
This is what I was working on.
I was going to call it " taking the stage "
Had a guitar holding a wood person and guitars as the audience with speakers and wires everywhere.
Pity it didn’t make it through. My guess is some kind of AI flagged it for graphic violence.
Good work everyone. Im happy I joined this challenge. Hopefully I’ll join all the challenges coming up from now on. And hopefully these challenges will always keep coming .
Im actually more interested in the community aspect of this thing… Cuz in the end, we’re just a bunch of guys who love blender and art.
I just quoted your entry and now it happened to me, too.
I guess it is the keyword-filter which causes this…
Yeah I think it is the keyword that is causing that, but typically they don’t get denied they just get a blur filter over the image and a disclaimer that it is not safe for work. The lounge has a portion for if something is in question of being not safe for work or not.
Not sure though how that would work for a group thread such as this in comparison to posting to a personally created thread by the poster of the image.
And to @SHADOWSTORM I have seen quite a bit more revealing get feature row so think this might just be one of those loophole issues and it fell through the cracks.
I also had a render I did that was deemed not safe for work as well and it was just a bloody non-realistic heart. The Breakup (NSFW)
I’m sorry to hear that. I know that there are text-filters in order to prevent spammers from flooding the forum. Not sure if there is some kind of image recognition involved, too. Maybe @bartv can shed some light on this matter.
Be that as it may… unfortunately, I cannot change the voting once it started. However, I’ll add your entry to the above list as a ‘non competing’ entry.
If this should happen again to anyone, please send me a PM as soon as you notice any problems. I can’t see posts/images like this before moderation checked them out - but at least I can add the name to the voting this way.
I don’t want to disclose our checked words list, sorry. But I cleared the post as soon as I saw it this morning.
thanks a lot! I wasn’t really sure what to do.
So far, I ran into two words from that list - and I don’t need to meet the others.
I was just wondering if there was some kind of image recognition applied to the uploaded images which could cause a post to be flagged. I guess, I would have noticed, but who knows?
You’re overestimating our capabilities
Good to know. Sometimes it is hard to distinguish between reality and crazy fiction, these days. Personally, I blame that on Pablo Dobarro:
Two words " Creative Ethics."
No offense.
I read the bluring of images artical, I agreed with it, some images should be blured with the option to cut it off or on unless the Creator does the bluring themselves, because of younger people.
Awesome work everyone, I’ll try to be in the next WC if my PC will co-op with me.
that’s what I used on the ice/blood/ melting effect, plus on the headsets. there is a build already on graphicall:
And not only because of younger people. (Not sure if they would even care, though. ;-)) But I can see how some things may not be safe for work. And with the userbase possibly shifting towards professionals, this is probably a good idea.
Nice! Maybe we can make this kind of info more common in the entry threads, too. It would be interesting to see if and how people are using experimental and beta features for their entries. It seems quite fitting as the challenge has always been a great place for experiments and feature tests.
Btw. I noticed the windows build a few days ago. Maybe I’ll find the time and try to build it on Linux. That brush actually looks like a lot of fun!
I don’t understand the " not safe for work " would have to explain it to me.
And my PC is back up had to go through the stuff that wouldn’t transfer to external and delete, it was my rotoscope bypass renders causing the problem.
My PC can’t handle my bypass.
@Midnightcpu it means that if you are at work looking at the site and artwork on it, you don’t want to see nudity, sexual content, graphic violence and such stuff as some workplaces do not approve such things. So by keeping stuff moderated or at least a heads up before clicking on or just browsing a site and those images coming up and getting you in trouble at work or possibly fired. Not to mention age restricted content that younger viewers are not supposed to have access to.
Pretty tight race so far! Love it.
My votes go to clickdraw & parclite. Nice works among more stunning entries this challenge.
cheers!
Well, FlyingBanana already covered this.
In addition, here are a few details regarding blenderartist’s blur feature witch can help with this issue:
