After 2 days of voting, a winner is declared: The voting will close on: Wed, Apr 22, 2020 11:00 PM.
The winner picks the theme for next week.

If the winner doesn’t supply a theme before Thursday 22:30 GMT, the organizer will select the theme. In this case, the winner’s theme will be used the next time we are lacking a theme on Thursday 22:30 GMT.

Having selected the theme, the winner will not be eligible to enter that week. They may however still submit an image, but it won’t be included in the voting.

This week’s winner:

Superb entries, everyone!

@purbosky: That is a masterpiece of modeling! I think that’s your best ever! I’d really like to see that set in the sky…

Pretty bad-ass ship indeed! Love the texturing, how was that done?

Wow, @RobertT, that is a truly amazing work with the sky and colors, really feels alive! And here I was being a quitter just slapped a plain color bg, lol. The model still needs more improvements before it can even be a tiny fraction of masterpiece, but thanks for the compliments, am still learning here. Will fiddle some more with some elements/objects, too much to do in a week. Btw, it is such a joy to have you back here (and competing again too!) :grinning:

Thanks @RayVelcoro, the panel strips is just a thin plane object shrinkwrapped to the fuselage and wings. Was about to texture it manually in 2D program but thinking would be too much hassle and time was short so did it directly in Blender. Not perfect, but could get the job done. Love your jet too, simple but looks wonderful!

Great entries, everyone! Some went in a not so literal direction yet still looked awesome, need to learn how to be that creative. Best luck to all!

That’s a pretty interesting approach, i think i will implement it on something later, could be fun!

hey, people, just curious (as always)

May i ask how old are you?

Thanks so much, @purbosky . I do believe it’s nearly perfect!

After all these years, I’m still learning. Always something new to try

I’m deeply grateful for this community, especially at this time.

If dominant theories of the universe are true and the Law of Conservation of Matter holds, we’re all approximately 13.8 billion years old.

Can we vote on a joint winner this weekend?

Perhaps somewhere in the long history of the WCs there have been collaborative entries. I don’t recall any

I just noticed the smaller image of my entry is a slightly earlier version of my final project, so I encourage people to follow the linked image to see the difference

Including me!?

And who would be the winners?
or… what would really be the next week’s theme??
or… who will appear at the top of blender artists main page!??
It could create branches in the universe where some of us are working on one theme and the other us (alternative versions of us) are working on the other theme and… and… and maybe this already happened and that’s why RobertT doesn’t remember any… hu…

we could select two winners, though

I’m not exactly sure we are talking about the same thing here, but usually the challenge rules prevent the universe from breaking apart as there can only be one winner: If there is a tie between two or more entries, the pure one wins. If that doesn’t solve the problem, the entry submitted earlier entry wins.

Yes, unless you’re from another universe, in which case alternative physics might be a consideration

So we need a Delorean to solve this?

When Malkovitch turns 44, the portal opens, and the rules can be rewritten. Until then the universe remains whole, and you’ll just be spit on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike.

Also, bonus question: How do I know if my entry is pure or open?

According to Schrödinger, it is both pure and open!

Then you have a dead cat because nobody fed it.

You will need a DeLorean to manipulate this.

Once Nitram_2000 got the DeLorean going, you will never know…

But once somebody looks at the insides of your entry, it will colapse to be an open or a pure one.
