When the box of dreams was opened we saw such beautiful things for the first time. But those we didn’t understand became nightmares.

And so as the evil Microsoft company continues to take over the world, it encounters a fierce, strong, and noble competitor that doesn’t seem to give up. What is the special trait that keeps it from evil Microsoft? …UNCRAPPINESS!"

A chesspiece is having a nightmare where the other chesspieces are going to kill him. I have similar dreams about Al Roker.

I don’t mean this as a serious entry (it’s certainly not up-to-snuff) but after too many days of serious work and about an hour of work while dreading an upcoming dentist’s appointment …

Lucky me.

I have to go with Robertt on this one. I love the textures.

Robertt, how did you do that? I would really like to know.

@ner and Jack000 and Modron were very close as well.

It was a toss up between Robert and Modron. Both were very well executed.

I went with Modron, it appeals to my sense of unreality.

Damn, forgot all about the weekend challenge…

Anywho, voted for Modron.

raseri, isn’t that kos’s website?

i really liked all of them…they are all definately good

Being partial to the school of surrealism, I voted for skeletor.

NQE 1 for the great idea, needs work, but its a great idea, with pretty good composition.

modron: thanx!! i love surrealism too, ive got like 10 dali pictures around my house! lol

Hey, ain’t the close entries post been earlier than ever? I’ve been out for just some minutes.

It’s earlier than usual, but I still closed it 5 mins after the limit.

Unfortunately I can only cast one vote. I really liked: - Prozac for being way too true. (How’d we get from “Just Say NO” to “Ask Your Doctor?”) - The Key of Dreams simply as a work of art of a style that I enjoy. - Lucid Dreamer on technical merit (how dey do dat?) and a thought-provoking image.
The one that I didn’t vote for (and so far no one else did either…) … %|

Cast my vote in for NQE1. I think that one is the closest to how I feel in some of my dreams.

I’ve never understood surreal dreams with their distorted meanings to be honest, but then again I’ve never had one that I can recall. Still they are interesting to look at.

Nice work everyone!

Idea, modelling, texturing and lighting are simply perfect in @ner’s scene. I voted for him because his pic is simply fabulous! I know everyone got their opinions, but I can,t understand why I’m the first one to vote for him!
Way to go @ner!

Skeletor, some rich use of dream symbols there and nice overall composition and material variation. Dali’s one of my favorite artists. You got my vote

RobertT

looks like modron is in the lead with robertt close behind…

voted for modron’s awsome image, reminds me of some painting…

mystery

Looks like it will be one of those close shaves. Thanks for the votes guys! :o

NQE1, you got my vote. Your entry had had me rolling on the floor, laughing my head off.

Cheers,

b01c

Skeletor, why did you put that weird filter on your render? I saw some posts in WIP and liked it, but this filter just makes it look like ambitious 16-bit game art from the late 80s! Especially if you’re going for the Dali look, his paintings have no paint texture whatsoever, they’re like photographs. But I like the models

My girlfriend wouldn’t let me near a PC yesterday. Oh well. For those of you still interested:

My vote goes to Modron.

Voted for at ner. Mostly for the totally awesome render!

@ner got my vote. Very nice atmosphere.
Cool image too, Robertt. I love the texture, especially on the nose.
