“Vincent”, Calling it Open due to the public domain texture that’s the main part of it. Sculpting was mine, and the geometry nodes setup had me puzzled for a while…finally got it!

Holy Crap are lips hard to model

I used the wrong tools crease and pinch for the lips all the time,
draw sharp looks so much easier.

You could try the inflate tool
… heard it is used a lot in Hollywood nowadays

It just has to be made in Blender, right, it doesn’t have to be 3d?

Self Portrait, Pure. Made using Blender grease pencil tool.

I know I have cheated by not attempting to sculpt a 3d model

It may not be exactly a portrait but it certainly tells the story of the character. An imperfect reproduction of a well-known photograph of Nikola Tesla. OPEN because I used makehuman and then rigged and added hair and mustache in blender.

There are some awesome renders here! Good job everyone! :grinning: Some of you are better at sculpting than me. Too bad I won’t be competing this week. In my opinion I like modeling more because you know … It my thing.

Non-Competing, Pure
Not great, but better than terrible. This was a very productive week for me, so I’m satisfied. Definitely the best human character I’ve made, which isn’t saying much, but I learned a whole lot about sculpting and anatomy.

I don’t think that’s “cheating” Sculpting isn’t the only way to create something - as you can see here in the topic. And sometimes it’s the creative idea or reinterpreting something and/or humor that makes a contribution
