Stairs to the Slums
Open (Mixamo Base model and lots of images)

Here’s my entry for this week, done with Cycles, 200 samples + denoise, open.
Not to fancy, but I like it.
The stairs I found behind my Cupboard
Pure
Inspired by a horroy short story by Dean R. Koontz: “Down in the Darkness”
When I was a kid, my neighbors had a long basement staircase that looked like this, and my soccer ball would occasionally roll it down through their garage…
It took all the courage to get the ball out of there again
Stairs into the unknown
Not exactly what I had in mind but I’m still happy with the result
Nice idea, with the magic beans
But why the ancor?
Thanks
Two reasons, one very personal and another is that it is a symbol for hope, so that something good waits at the end of the stairs
Usually it’s a giant who wants to eat you - trust me
But if you take a closer look, there is often a pot of gold and a princess that needs to be rescued
This will be the foyer in my house when I win the lottery…
Pure. Very slow with all the different pieces using CPU. (took an hour plus to render)
I always liked the blank characters climbing up and down the stairs in Escher’s drawings; of course, I’m not advanced enough to figure out how to do such optical illusions, but I did find how to do Freestyle for just one collection.
I like the design of the stairs. Very stylish. The wood must be very sturdy not to break Possibly I found the squirrel. Is it sitting in the flower pot in the lower right corner?
Next step: Voting!
