I learned a lot doing this character; from translating stylized shape to 3D, cloth sim in MD, to playing with volumetric lighting, and also rigging with rigify. The hardest part in this character would have to be tackling the curly hair. Nailing it down to match the concept is quite hard, since I have to think technically and also creatively. Overall quite happy with the result, but I think there’s still some room to improve on the hair part… Then again, I’ve spent too much time on this 1 character, time to move on to the next one.

Also found this really free useful addon that help me a lot on better workflow for marvelous designer to blender: https://mmemoli.gumroad.com/l/tOKEh
It’s basically a data transfer addon, and I used it to retopologized the 2D pattern exported from MD, and transform it to the 3D pattern using shape keys transfer.
