Hello,
I am very new to blender and have built an animation that when I got done I realize played way to fast. I have built the movie at 10 fps, but that is choppy and would like to get 25 fps. Is there a way to stretch out an existing animation so that it renders more stills. I did a search and couldnt find a way to do this. The animation is complicated and I am pretty close to the presentation or I would do this myself
Maybe you could do something with the IPOs.
If you press F10 a couple times you will get to a single panel called the “Anim/Playback” buttons. Increase the Map New value to remap your animation to more frames. For example if Map New is 5 times Map Old, your animation will run at 1/5 the speed (take up 5 times more frames).
I had seen a tutorial where they said to press F7 to get to the mapping screen. Thank you for the help, I will try that. Right now it says MapOld=100 and I changed that to MapNew=300, this should give me 3 times the number of frames right?

Perfect thank you. just didnt want to have to render it twice.
Another way would be to go to the NLA editor (if you haven’t already used it it’s easier), select all the dots, and with your frame selection bar at frame 1, scale all the keyframes to your desired length with the render settings to 25fps. This will scale the time, but nothing else, allowing you a great deal of control over your exact scaling and what you want changed.
