Change cursor to selected behavior?

Snapping cursor to selected ignores armature changes.

If you add a one bone armature to the cube. Go to pose mode. Rotate the cube. Say you want to now add a shape key when the cube is rotated. Enter edit mode and select a vertex. Now when you use cursor to selected, the pivot point it snaps to is the original position prior to moving the cube. Is there a way to get the cursor to snap to the new position? This is not helpful when you are making shape keys on a rigged character when you are making a shape key to assist in correcting deformations. What am I missing?


Well it kinda is helpful because the shape keys themselves ignore armature changes. However if you snap something to that position you will see that it snaps to the correct position even if the 3d cursor location looks wrong.

Anyway I would just sculpt it instead, it’s easier and faster.

Thanks. Yeah I usually do sculpt but I decided to just push some vertices and got all confused.
