I have a rig that involves a LOT of shape key driver bones. The problem is that when I move the rigged character to a new file, each and every driver for shape keys on the character mesh loses its association with the rig. That is to say, when I select the mesh and view a given shape key driver, that driver is configured as before except that the variable’s target object field is blank and red.
I guess it would be neat to know why this happens, but it’s easily fixible: I just need to select every driver one by one, change the target object back to the rig (it then correctly remembers what bone and transform it is meant to use) and then click “update dependencies”.
The problem is that when I have 50+ of the things, this becomes a huge pain the butt when it happens. So here is the real question I am asking (for which Google has not supplied an answer):
Is there a way to just tell all of the drivers, as one group, “here is the rig you are looking for”?
