Change texture to another UV layout by means of Bake Texture?

How to change texture to another UV layout by means of Bake Texture or any other method?
For example, a mesh has an UV layout and an associated texture assigned to it.
Now I add an UV layout and change it, so the texture does not suit the UV layout any more.
Can I bake the texture from one UV layout to another, so I can get a texture suiting the later UV layout?
