change uv texture with property?

i’m currently working on my inventory part of my game, i’ve got everything worked out, except for the ‘visual’ part. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to change an objects texture so that the player can see what’s in the object slot, but i have no idea how to do that.

The closest i’ve been able to find was the videotexture function, but sadly, even their own sample script for that function doesn’t even work to begin with, and i was unable to get it to work. (Which really, really sucks, and makes me wander about that part of the documentation…, actually, i’ve had a lot of problems with all of the documentation. what little off site documentation i’ve been able to find has actually been a lot better. )

anyway, is it even possible to change an objects texture based off of a property? (find image > load image > replace uv texture)
