Change wireframe color in the 3D View

Hi all,
Can i change the color of a model wireframe in the 3D View using python?

thanks

sted,

No need for python, you can create a new theme in user preferences. If you do, make sure to use ctrl-u to save the changes. See the link below for more info.

Best of Luck!

Thank you for reply!

But i need a method to change the color of one particular mesh wireframe in the scene, not every mesh, because i need to assign different colors to different mesh wireframes.

thanks again

sted,

Do you just want different materials? Do you want to see the color when you render, or just in the viewport while working?

just in the view port while working

sted,

AFAIK, there is no way to change the wireframe color of a single mesh in viewport.

directly no !

but indirectly may be see pic

so you can see it in viewport in color

Happy blendering

Hey does anyone know if the status on this has changed? I would LOVE to be able to change the viewport display colors of different wireframe objects (bone controls) so it is easier to tell them apart. If this is possible, someone let me know, because I have been trying for a while to figure it out.

Thanks,
