Hello, I was wondering if it’s possible to change the start frame of a movie clip in the compositor. I have looked everywhere I can think of for this feature, but can’t find it. Is this possible, and if so, how? Thank you for any help!
Select your Image node in the compositor.
With your mouse still in the compositor window press the N-KEY.
This will bring up the properties of the Image node.
From that panel you can change the Image type to an image sequence and also adjust the starting frame time.

Oh, you said Movie Clip…
So convert your movie to an image sequence and use the Image node instead. Or try to load your movie directly with the Image node. A movie is one of the supported types of the Image node.
If using movie clip node, this takes that clip which is in the clip editor - those start time is in the Footage Settings panel of the N properties region of the clip editor
But that change is only for preview in the clip editor window and won’t be enacted globally. Offset is simply not supported in movie clips.
Ok, so image node instead. Thanks guys! That’s kind of strange that there’s no way to do this with the movie clip node.
