Changing view with Alt and the mouse

Hi, I’ve just changed from version 2.49 to 2.63 and I can’t work out if there is a way to change/rotate around the model - in 2.49 you could hold down Alt and the left mouse button and then move the mouse around to change the view and move around the model. Is there a way to to do this in 2.63 using a key and the mouse?

Go file -> User Preferences - Input Tab. In the left column there should be an option for emulate 3 button mouse. Turn that on and I think it will do what you’re wanting.
