I watched one episode of Transformers : Robots in Disguise and I’m pretty intrigued by character animation style. It looks totally like anime/cartoon and I’m not talking about toon shading , just about movement of characters. Does someone know how could they achieve such a wonderful illusion of 2D ? Does the keyframes of animation are keyed in any unusual way or maybe they are using a script which influences on curves of animation ?
They pretty much cut out interpolation, the sign of an animator who actually knows what he’s doing with 2D style models.
