Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Blender Character Modeler with experience with rigging and animation with expertise in Blender to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, animating, and rigging high-quality 3D character models that will bring our games to life. The ideal candidate is a skilled artist with a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a passion for storytelling through character design. All work can be done remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed, high-quality mid-poly 3D character models in Blender.
  • Develop and implement efficient character rigs for animation.
  • Animate characters to convey simple character movements.
  • Collaborate with the art and design teams to ensure characters fit the visual and gameplay style of the project.
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to modeling, rigging, and animation.
  • Optimize models and animations for performance and memory efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve our character creation pipeline.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Character Modeler, Animator, and Rigger using Blender.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D character models and animations.
  • Proficiency in Blender’s modeling, rigging, and animation tools.
  • Understanding of human and animal anatomy, as well as principles of animation.
  • Knowledge of game development pipelines and asset optimization.
  • Maintain consistency and adhere to the established art style, ensuring that character designs align with the overall artistic direction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Passion for video games.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
