Character falling the wrong way

Hi, I’m new to the forum and new to blender. I just want some help in fixing this file I’ve been doing based on a tutorial:

http://www.mediafire.com/?6i94nza68foeath

The main problem I’m experiencing is that the character falls the wrong way after turning on the Actor and Dynamic options at the physics tab. I’m using blender 2.5

The only thing you have to do is select your character (not the armature) and make it a ghost in the collision tabs!

Thank you very much. At least that helped get the character on the ground. Additional query, how can I make it stop going through the walls? It bounces often but sometimes the character just goes through them

Okay here is your file:

And here is what i changed!

  • added a cube that fits to the bounds of your character
  • made it parent for armature and Character
  • set armature and character collision to No Collision
  • decreased the motion
  • increased damping
If you think your character is too slow you can increase the motion and damping a bit but make sure that it isn’t too high because then it will go through the walls!
PS: Your file is already really big ! (13mb) you should scale all a bit down if you want to add more levels and stuff!
