Does any one have a character modeling tutorial for low-poly male or female characters?
ive read tutorials but i have found no better way to learn how to model stuff than downloading a model from a place like…
http://www.turbosquid.com (type in free low poly models, use crossroads((file conversion program)) if there in 3ds format to convert to dxf. 3d cafe is also good).
then looking at how they are put together. Then I model over them, (using a seperate colour material so you can see it easier).
Humans are reasonably difficult to model low poly especially faces but you’ll get the hang of it if you follow my technique.
On a different note take a look at the unreal tornament models that are on turbosquid for free, if you want to know how a proffesional model looks like take a look at them!
