Any thoughts on this image? My first proper attempt at character modelling. I would appreciate any feedback|
I’m not an expert in materials, but your materials could use work. First of all, Charmander’s based off a reptile, and reptiles don’t have fur. At first glance, I almost thought this was supposed to be a stuffed toy version. The fire could use improvement as well if you’re aiming for a realistic look. The center of the flame should be brighter and closer to white than that. The modeling looks pretty solid though.
When I saw the thumbnail, I figured it was supposed to be a toy Charmander rather than a realistic model. In that case, adding some stitching detail on the eye might add more texture to the image. Right now it looks like a sticker.
