Chase through the souk.

Just minor updates to the main scene:

Reminds me of Sintel.

Textured up the barrel:

And the bike. (Note: doesnt look right with just textures, there’s some shader stuff going on too, still needs work though).

And a render:

Very nice.
I think you are deviating a little bit from the medieval style with the latest changes on the left wall. The window blinds seem a bit too filigree and lack some depth.
Personally, I also would prefer something wooden instead of the carport door to better fit the rough woodwork in the center.
But it might be too ealrly to judge it, since they aren’t textured yet.
Please don’t take this as serious critizism, I really like what you are doing and it’s a pleasure to see your progress (I wish I would be that fast).

@Monsterkodi: the mix of modern and old elemnts is what I’m going for really.

Last render of the day:

nice progress…

this Arabic word -which is broken into letters and flipped- says : “the internet”
how can anybody from that ancient time write “the internet” in an old souk ?

keep going , and good luck …

Read the OP.

Edit: You’re right though,it is flipped. My bad.

Awesome looks very assasins creed style. Maybe as a little spoof put a little altiar reference in. maybe altair woz ere scribble into a wall or the assasins logo on a piece of cloth. But very good so far

this is all amazing work  awaiting more updates.

Keep it this way ben. IMO you leave to free space around. Buildings should be much closer, this will help the atmo here.

@Fish_Fly3r: Thanks!
@Michalis: I agree about having a more enclosed atmosphere - there’s a lot more props and stuff to go in though. Hopefully it should look more claustrophobic as time goes on.

Random head for the scene, probably a merchant or something. Not 100% happy with it, but it was a good excuse to test out JWilkins’ 2.5 sculpt build. I recorded the process as well so I will put up a video of it later.

Amazing. I guess you must be on a quest to break some speed modelling record
I like the head. Looks a little bit like this captain Pickard from Star Treck to me.
I am looking forward to see the video.

@Monsterkodi. Ha! You know I thought he had a bit of a Patrick Stewart thing going on too.

Anyway, after tearing out my hair trying first to get blender to play nice with video codecs, and then trying to upload 400Mb of video to vimeo, the timelapse is up. You can view it here.

Very nice job, are you going to add the canvas bag in-between the handlebars and the seat like in the picture?

Very nice timelapse video. Thanks for posting it. It looks easy when you are doing it, but I doubt I will try something like that in the near future to spare me some dissapointments

This is gonna be really cool :D.

Good stuff ben. Wouldn’t expect anything less from you!

Modeled a gun from a concept I drew a little while ago. Just basic, no proper materials yet.

Here’s the concept:
