I love it. Did you copy the white pieces and retexture them for the black pieces? I assume you did because they all look very similar. Also why does the chessboard have a reflection of a tree on it, is that intentional?

Yes, the two sides are just re-coloured copies

The board is reflecting the HDRI I used for lighting. It shows off the reflectivity, so I decided to leave it

Looks good

It would be nice to see each piece up close, add some basic table to scene, it always helps with real world objects to place it on something

Board is waay to shiny, but thats just my opinion

Cheers

They’re not perfect
I made the Pawn first, and based the rest off that
It was an early piece, once I’d got the hang of the basics. Mostly extruding a circle, scaling in and out.

Looks great!

Nice! Shinny ceramic/porcelain.

The knight’s head is too serpent like and less horse strong like. Search Staunton professional chess set. Normally the back of the knight’s jaw bone is a lot stronger and is depicted as being reined in to its neck.

And the rook’s parapet looks flimsy and gaping.

And usually the king’s cross faces the opponent.

And overall the color of the pieces are too similar to that of the board.
