This is the first time I show my work here so, please, be honest. Actually it’s my first “big” work, as I have tendency to get bored very fast. Hmm…what else, it ain’t too great and I think at least the horse needs some tweaking. Oh yes, and the lightning sucks at the moment, but hey, it’s in progress =).
And this one is with “reflections”. I made the chessboard material transparent, and inverted the pieces. Anyone got a nice tutorial on envmapping with flat surfaces?
heh… my fisrt post was also a chess board… tough my envoirment was quite different… here is a free tip: put some stars in the background and name it “Chess In Space Redux”
The reflections are very inventive for a first time. One prob is the dark squares show no reflections but they would show at least the white peices. This may change when the lighting is finished.
