Child hair prticles not on scalp, please help.

Hello, I’m trying to follow the new blendercookie hair tut for cycles but whenever I add simple children hair the child particles are just free floating no where near the root. How can I fix this? Thanks.

You’ll need to use interpolated children or they don’t have any reason to stay on the scalp.
