can anyone help?

I’ve always been happy with viewsonic, especially for the price. The samsung supports higher resolution and refresh rate. Maybe that’s important for you.

I played with one of these the other day http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/70207/wo/mJ4nqEz8fzYh2NLngnE14H3NvA5/1.3.0.5.7.1.2.17.3.1.1.0?40,7.23" widescreen. it’s awesome. a monitor that big makes e-mail seem exciting, let alone games, movies, and blender. If you have an extra 2k sitting around

I saw a 17 " viewsonic for $159 CDN. I wonder if they’re any good.

I’ve been really happy with mitsubishi/nec crts.
that being said, just got a 22" viewsonic and its awsome (mega bandwidth)
I’ll edit this for the model number when I’m home
its around 600.

What’s the resolution on that 22"

its a P225fb,
its resolution (that I use) is 1600x1200 at 100Hz
you can go higher, I think it does 1920 by 1440 at 85 Hz and can go up to 2000 something (at for me unusable refresh rate)
I like it.
(got it from newegg)

Thanks. I was just curious. My 15" is too small for graphics and animation work.

I’ve been using a 17" ViewSonic PerfectFlat A72f for about a year now.
It’s a nice monitor for the price ($219.00 at the time).

Features:
0.21 mm horizontal dot pitch, 0.25 mm diagonal.
Max res of 1280 x 1024.
87Hz refresh rate at 1024 x 768.
Anti glare treatment.
A great set of adjustment options.

I think it was a good value.

cool, i think i’ll go for the viewsonic

thanks for the info guys!

Personally, i think flatscreens are a waste of money. Oh, sure, they llok cool, are easy to move, and work pretty well, but why spend the amount of a pretty decent compter on a moniter when you can get a big one for usually a quarter of the price with the same specs, just bigger.

Pooba

think, or in this case click, or read, before you say something silly pooba :D:)
