I’ve finished up the fork just now, and am satisfied with it. I’m not sure what to start next, the table, or details like candles and other things. Plates and the such as well… Advice?
Finished modelling and texturing the table. I added a slight normal map in the hope it would make it better, and the legs look a bit weird. I don’t mind though, I don’t know if they’ll be in the full scene
the table legs look to short to me…
you can measure them with an empty,
object data of the empty. you can change the plain axis to the size you want etc…
If you are American change the scene to “Imperial” it makes it alot easier IMHO.
a table leg is about 28 1/4" - 30"
or .7144512 Meter
another thing that helps sometimes is changing the camera focal length.
Thanks for the advice. I think it was a mixture of too thick, and too short, so I’ve changed it about. Played around with focal length on the camera as well to get a better preview. I’ll upload it after it’s rendered.
From what I’ve heard food is very hard in 3D, I have a suggestion, make it look like a big family was just there and try leaving more objects/rubbish and less food. So maybe a few napkins around the table this isn’t that helpful but it should make your job easier! What food are you planning on putting on the table?
