Hey guys! So I’ve been working on a Christmas animation (no surprise around this time of year) and I’ve run into a problem I can’t get around really.
I attached an image of what the scene looks like (characters aren’t posed yet) and I love the way it looks except the render time is about 10-12 minutes for one frame. It’s due to using environment lighting and an world image for it to reflect. I really love the way it looks but I can’t do 12 minute frames for 2500 frames. I tried importing the image I used for the background as a plane and putting it behind the camera but the nutcrackers don’t reflect the image. I just looks like a black square it reflects (if any of that made sense). On that render the render time is about 30 seconds.
Any ideas? I will happily give more information that anyone needs to help
Yeah we can see the image, but its just in itself dark… Not “night time” dark but just dark. If you are going for a night time look and feel, add light from the moon or a desk lamp, etc… if it is a daytime scene add light from the sun, room lights, etc…
I took a look at the image on another couple computers in the house and it does look incredibly dark on one of them. I’ll definitely work on lighting it up some! Thanks guys!
yer it looks good and we can see it…it just does look a little too dark, and i have a back lit LED monitor (which are known for over brightening things)
